SPRINGFIELD, MO — Jordan Valley Health today announced plans to launch a mobile clinic initiative to provide primary and acute health care services in North St. Louis City and County. The initiative will help address the critical medical care gaps caused by recent interruptions in health care services.

The first mobile clinic will be July 9, 2026, at the Bayer YMCA. The clinic will operate from 10 AM until 3 PM. Future dates, location and services will be announced soon.

The initial site was selected because of its central location near many of the communities, most impacted by the recent loss of care. The mobile clinic initiative will serve underinsured children and adults, as well as patients covered by Medicaid, providing an urgently needed access point for individuals and families seeking access to primary and acute health care.

“Serving the communities of North St. Louis was an easy decision because it aligns with who we are,” said Dr. Stinson, President and CEO of Jordan Valley Health. “Our mission is to improve our community’s health through access and relationships, and our mobile clinics are designed to meet people where they are, providing an immediate connection to the care they need. And it’s the right thing to do.”

Jordan Valley Health will work with local partners to promote the mobile clinics, connect residents to available services like Medicaid enrollment, and help ensure the effort reaches the children, families and adults most affected by the current gap in care.

Additional details about services, hours, future mobile clinic dates, and additional locations will be announced soon.

Jordan Valley Health Offers Free Hepatitis C Testing

SPRINGFIELD, MO — In support of National Hepatitis Testing Day on Tuesday, May 19, Jordan Valley Health isoffering free Hepatitis C (Hep C) testing through August 31, 2026. This initiative is part of a nationwide effort toraise awareness

SPRINGFIELD, MO — In support of National Hepatitis Testing Day on Tuesday, May 19, Jordan Valley Health is
offering free Hepatitis C (Hep C) testing through August 31, 2026. This initiative is part of a nationwide effort to
raise awareness about viral hepatitis, encourage routine screening, and connect individuals to potentially life-saving treatment.

Jordan Valley Health will provide fast, confidential, and free Hepatitis C testing at most of its clinic locations.
Testing is open to the public, with no appointment required at participating sites.

Why Hepatitis C Testing Matters
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), more than 2 million people in the United States are living with Hepatitis C, and many are unaware they are infected. Because Hepatitis C often causes no
symptoms for years, it can quietly lead to serious health complications, including liver damage, cirrhosis, liver
cancer, and liver failure if left untreated. Fortunately, today’s treatments can cure more than 95% of cases with
oral medication and minimal side effects. The CDC recommends that all adults be tested for Hepatitis C at least
once in their lifetime, with more frequent testing for individuals with certain risk factors.

Who Is at Risk
Hepatitis C is spread through contact with infected blood. While anyone can get Hepatitis C, higher-risk groups
include people who have injected drugs, received blood transfusions before 1992, or have certain medical
conditions or exposures.

Regular testing is an important step in protecting both personal and public health. Early detection allows
individuals to begin treatment sooner and reduce the risk of long-term complications.

“We want our community to understand that Hepatitis C is often curable, especially when caught early,” said
Karen Barrand, Operations Director for Jordan Valley Health. “Many people living with Hep C have no symptoms,
which is why testing is so important. Knowing your status can help protect your long-term health and prevent
serious liver disease.”

For more information on where and how to get tested at Jordan Valley Health, visit JordanValley.org/FreeTest.

Jordan Valley Health Introduces New Name and Brand to Reflect Its Growth and Mission

Jordan Valley Community Health Center unveiled a new name and visual identity yesterday to their team members, marking an important step forward for an organization that has grown significantly over the past 20 years; The new name– Jordan

Jordan Valley Community Health Center unveiled a new name and visual identity yesterday to their team members, marking an important step forward for an organization that has grown significantly over the past 20 years; The new name– Jordan Valley Health. While the look is new, the mission remains the same: improving the community’s health through access and relationships.

Jordan Valley Health’s story began when its first physician, Dr. John Bentley, volunteered at a free clinic and saw how many families were left out of the traditional healthcare system. In response to that identified need, founding CEO Brooks Miller led the opening of Jordan Valley Health in the Ozarks–introducing a new model of care based on access, respect, and quality for all.

Since then, we’ve expanded our services and locations to combine healthcare with community support. No matter where we are, our goal stays the same: make care easier, closer to home, and better for everyone. In 2025, we took intentional time to listen to our fellow team members, patients, and the community. We challenged ourselves to consider how we can improve serving one another and our patients–not just in what we do, but how we show up.

During that research process, it became clear that the full organization name did not communicate who we were fully. The name Jordan Valley Health better communicates the breadth of care provided to patients while still staying true to our roots.

The updated brand also includes a new logo designed by agency partner, Fieldtrip, featuring a mother bear and her cub, a symbol of strength, protection, connection, curiosity, and compassion. The former tree logo, originally licensed from Jordan Valley Park, created brand confusion between the health center and the park. The other visual elements of the brand, including the font, posed potential readability challenges for some. The new identity is original, inclusive, and rooted in what patients and team members said quality care should feel like.

Accompanying the new look is a clear message: “We See You.” It’s more than a tagline, it reflects Jordan Valley Health’s commitment to meeting every person with respect, understanding, and care that doesn’t judge.

“Our new identity honors our past and strengthens our promise to serve,” Dr. Matthew Stinson, CEO, shared. “We look forward to seeing the updated look throughout our service area, but more importantly, we look forward to better connecting who we are with the patients we care for.”

The new name and new brandmark will be updated across Jordan Valley Health’s ten locations during 2026 and into 2027, when Jordan Valley Health will celebrate its 25th anniversary.

To view the Jordan Valley Health Press Kit, which includes a one-sheet of why we chose to rebrand, the new JVH logo, a brand overview guide, a bio of our CEO, Fast Facts, and a Community Health Report overview, click HERE.

SPS and Jordan Valley Community Health Center Partner to Expand Student Access to Health Care Services

Springfield, Mo., December 18, 2025 – More Springfield children will gain easy access to vital health services thanks to a major pilot program that will be launched in 2026 by Springfield Public Schools and Jordan Valley Community Health

Springfield, Mo., December 18, 2025 – More Springfield children will gain easy access to vital health services thanks to a major pilot program that will be launched in 2026 by Springfield Public Schools and Jordan Valley Community Health Center.

Early next year, students at 12 SPS schools will be able to receive medical, dental and vision care during the school day. By providing these essential services directly on-site via dedicated mobile clinics, the partnership aims to remove critical barriers, including transportation and time away from work, that often prevent some families from accessing quality health care.

“We are excited about this collaborative effort to connect our students and their families with needed services,” said Superintendent Grenita Lathan. “The partnership represents a strong investment in the long-term well-being and academic success of Springfield’s children. The services provided by Jordan Valley Community Health Center not only keep our students healthy and ready to learn, but they also significantly reduce the time out of the classroom that is typically associated with doctors’ visits.”

Students who attend Campbell Early Childhood Center; Bowerman, Boyd, Fremont, Truman, Watkins, Weller and Williams elementary schools; Academy of Exploration; Reed Middle School; Pleasant View K-8; and Hillcrest High School will be eligible for services.

“We are looking forward to developing relationships with these families and supporting their health care needs both now and in the future,” said Dr. Matthew Stinson, CEO of Jordan Valley Community Health Center. “By using our mobile clinics, parents and guardians will not need to take time off work or worry about getting their children to a provider outside of their neighborhood.”

In December, families received information packets about the services offered and how they can schedule an appointment for their children. Students with dental or medical Medicaid and medical insurance are eligible for services. There is no cost to the student or their household for these services.

The scope of services provided includes:

  • Pediatric Care: immunizations, physical exams and sports physicals, rapid strep and flu tests, developmental screenings and wellness checks.
  • Dental Care: full exams, cleanings, fluoride, sealants, x-rays, restorations, and extractions
  • Vision Care: eye exams and fittings for glasses

When students are healthy, they are ready to learn,” explained Lee Ann Neill, SPS Director of Student Health Services. “Treating minor illnesses, addressing dental pain, or correcting vision issues directly impacts a student’s ability to concentrate, participate and succeed academically.”

“We look forward to making a difference in the lives of these children and broadening our impact by expanding services to other schools in the future,” said Chief Operating Officer for Jordan Valley, Dr. Nick Pfannenstiel.

Springfield, MO — Jordan Valley Community Health Center (JVCHC) has completed the first of its two-phase Kingsley dental clinic expansion and remodel—significantly increasing access to specialized care for children and adults with special dental care needs.

The expansion grows the clinic’s capacity from four dental operatories to 25 fully equipped treatment rooms, allowing more patients to receive timely, compassionate care close to home.

“Our mission is to make high-quality, accessible care a reality for everyone,” said Dr. Matthew Stinson, CEO of Jordan Valley. “This investment in our Springfield: Kingsley location ensures that more families—including those with unique sensory or special healthcare needs—can get the dental services they deserve in a supportive environment.”

The remodeled clinic is thoughtfully designed with sensory-friendly features, including calming bubble walls, fiber optic carpet, and noise-canceling headphones to support patients with sensory processing disorders or anxiety.

Expanded services now include:

  • Comprehensive pediatric dental care from infancy through adolescence
  • Specialized services for children and teens, including sedation dentistry and behavioral support
  • Dedicated adult dental care with a focus on serving individuals with complex or special healthcare needs

Dental providers now accepting new patients include:

  • Anna Price, Pediatric Dental Specialist, trained in behavior management, pediatric restorative care, and sedation dentistry
  • Derek Smith, General Dentist, with extensive experience treating adult patients with special needs
  • Bethany Anders, General Dentist, supporting adult and special needs care
  • Shannon White, Pediatric Dental Specialist, trained in behavior management, pediatric restorative care, and sedation dentistry

Jordan Valley recommends that children begin dental visits by age one or within six months of their first tooth. Early visits help establish a dental home, prevent future trauma, and build healthy oral care habits from the start.

Expanded services at Kingsley will begin on August 4, 2025.

To schedule an appointment or learn more, visit jordanvalley.org or call 417-851-1566. Payment options for dental services at JVCHC include Medicaid and sliding scale options for patients paying for services out-of-pocket.
