What is a Federally Qualified Health Center?
Jordan Valley Health is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), a designation given by the federal government to community-based organizations that provide comprehensive primary care services to communities that would not otherwise have access to healthcare. We are patient-governed, community-focused, and open to everyone regardless of their ability to pay.

The Story of Jordan Valley Health
Jordan Valley Health opened in 2003 in a strip mall on East Division in Springfield, Missouri — one provider and two exam rooms.
Within a year, dental services had been added at Benton Street. Within six, the original clinic had relocated to a renovated facility on East Tampa, and the first satellite clinic was serving patients in Marshfield.
Today, Jordan Valley Health serves approximately 70,000 patients each year — and still grounds every decision in the commitment to access that drove founding Jordan Valley Health.

Jordan Valley Community Health Center opens in a strip mall on East Division in Springfield, MO — one provider, two exam rooms.

Jordan Valley adds dental services at the Benton street clinic in Springfield, Missouri.

In 2004, a nurse at Jordan Valley proposed we offer mobile health clinic services. She took the first group of staff members to a local school and the rest is history.

2009
Jordan Valley opens its first regional clinic in Marshfield, MO, bringing medical and dental care beyond Springfield for the first time.

2009
The Springfield clinic relocates from Division to a newly renovated former warehouse facility at 440 E Tampa.

2014
Rural health access continues to increase with the openings of both the Hollister and Republic, Missouri clinics.

2015
The Lebanon, Missouri clinic opens. It moves to an expanded facility, including an onsite pharmacy later in 2017.

The Springfield: Kingsley dental clinic opens.

2021
The Grand clinic is purchased and used for COVID-19 vaccine clinics.

The Roy Blunt Center for Women and Children opens in the Grand clinic expanding integrated care for families in the community.

2023
Jordan Valley Community Health Center opens its second location in Lebanon, Missouri at 2020 Evergreen Parkway. This is the first location to have both a full clinic and an early childhood education center located in a public school.

Jordan Valley Senior Care opens in July 2024 to its home at Suite C of the Grand clinic in Springfield, Missouri. It is the first Program of All-Inclusive Care of the Elderly (PACE) program in the region.

Jordan Valley Grand Pharmacy opened to the public in April of 2024 in Springfield, Missouri. This was Jordan Valley's first pharmacy to offer a drive-through.

The Billy Long Medical & Dental Training Center opens to teach and equip future Medical and Dental Assistants in the Ozarks.

2025
In January 2025, Jordan Valley Health began offering walk-in care for most services across the organization. This milestone moment for the organization was motivated solely by increasing same-day access to care.

In collaboration with CoxHealth, Jordan Valley Community Health Center opened their first clinic in Buffalo, MO.

Jordan Valley Community Health Center rebrands to Jordan Valley Health.

Fast forward to today we have at eleven clinic locations, a mobile unit program traveling around our region, Southwest Missouri's first Program of All Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) senior care program, a 340B pharmacy, an early childhood center, the Billy Long Medical & Dental Training Center, and more. We're just getting started.
