Care that Comes to You

Healthcare should be easy to access, no matter where you live or learn. Jordan Valley Health’s mobile clinics bring medical, dental, and vision care directly to schools and communities across the Route 66 and Southwest Missouri region.

Meeting Patients Where They Are

In 2004, a Jordan Valley Health nurse had a vision: bring healthcare to people who couldn’t easily get to a clinic. She took the first Jordan Valley Health team to a local school, and the idea grew into our Mobile & School-Based Care program.

Today, we bring medical, dental, vision, and behavioral health services to schools and community locations across Southwest Missouri. By bringing wellness visits, dental screenings, vision exams, and behavioral health support closer to where children, families, and rural communities live, learn, and work, we make it easier to get the care they need without long travel, missed work, or missed school.

Mobile Unit & School-Based Services

Family Medicine

  • Referrals to Primary Care Physicians and Specialists

Pediatrics

This is medical care made for your growing and changing children and teens. We make getting your child to the doctor easier. Our mobile units visit schools during school hours, so you don't have to take off work. Our mobile services provide:

  • Developmental Screenings / Well-Child Checks
  • Immunizations
  • Physical Exams and Sports Physicals
  • Rapid Strep and Influenza Tests

Dental

We have dental mobile health clinic units that visit communities and schools to provide care for adults and children. Our mobile services provide:

  • Extractions

Become a Patient

Our Mobile Unit program partners with schools to help kids get the care they need without missing school. This also helps parents who can't take time off work.

Becoming a new patient on one of our Mobile Units starts with just four steps.

  1. Complete the New Patient Forms

You can fill these out on paper, which your child brings home from school as a packet, or you can complete them digitally here.

  2. Mark Your Calendar

Your school will share the date the Mobile Unit will visit your child's school in advance.

  3. The Big Day

The Mobile Unit will arrive at your child's school to see them and their classmates for the care they need.

  4. Next Steps

After your child's visit, they will bring home take-home paperwork for you to review. After learning what's next, you can contact Jordan Valley Health to schedule your child's next visit.

Jordan Valley’s support in our school district makes it possible for many students to receive the medical support they need to be able to come to school every day. What I truly love about Jordan Valley is that they care about our kids and what they need to be successful students. They never come from a place of “no” when I ask for help for a student. We’re a better school district because we can offer all of these medical services to our families.

Tracy Millsap, Lebanon School District Director of Nursing

Thank you all for your flexibility. Thank you, Dr. White, for your care. Thank you, team, for the setup and the time. I appreciate this service provided for the community. I would recommend it to others.
