Eligibility for the Family Medicine Residency program includes: 

• Passing score on both Step I & II or Level I & II by the start of the program, with no more than one failure per exam level. 
• Graduation from an accredited medical school or holds a valid ECFMG certificate.
• 3 years or less since graduation from medical school prior to the start of training.
• Able to obtain temporary physician license from the State of Missouri prior to your first year in the program. 
• Holds permanent US citizenship status.

Residents will receive their outpatient training with Jordan Valley Health and their inpatient and specialty training with CoxHealth. Over the course of the 3 years, resident time is equally split between Jordan Valley Health and CoxHealth.

Jordan Valley Health: Family Medicine Outpatient (includes rural experience), Pediatric Outpatient, Gynecology, Geriatrics, Newborn Call, and Electives

CoxHealth: Family Medicine Inpatient, Pediatric Inpatient, Pediatric Urgent Care, Dermatology, Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Sports Medicine, OB, Float Call, and Electives.

• Salary: PGY-1 $67,144 / PGY-2: $69,193 / PGY-3: $71,577
• All residents receive: 173 hours of PTO, 9 paid Holidays, and 40 hours PTO for CME each year.
• Course fees for basic life support, advanced cardiac life support, pediatric advanced life support, advanced trauma life support, STABLE, neonatal resuscitation and advanced life support in obstetrics are paid by the program.
• Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance options provided for residents and eligible dependents.
• All fees for licensure are paid by the program, including permanent licensure, BNDD and DEA for those who qualify.
• Malpractice Insurance is provided at no cost to the resident for activities associated with the residency program.
• Leave of Absence: 6 weeks paid medical, parental, and caregiver leave of absence for qualifying reasons consistent with applicable laws are available annually
• Relocation allowance is provided.
• Program pays for initial registration for USMLE/COMLEX Step III.
