Stephanie Flygare is a Family Medicine Physician Assistant who brings a uniquely well-rounded perspective to patient care, shaped by more than two decades in the helping profession. "I have been in the helping profession my entire adult life, and medicine was a great way to continue to serve people," she shares. Stephanie earned her Master's of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Missouri State University and has been a certified Physician Assistant since 2019. Before entering medicine, she was a Licensed Professional Counselor and has her master’s degree in Guidance and Counseling. She also has a bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in Biomedical Science.
Stephanie's approach to care is grounded in listening, trust, and collaboration. "I listen and I care. I believe patients know themselves better than anyone else, so we make decisions together about their healthcare," she explains. Her background in counseling allows her to care for the whole person, treating acute, chronic, and behavioral health concerns across all stages of life. What she values most is the connection she builds with those she serves. "I love the relationships we establish with our patients in family medicine," she says. "We try to be a safe place for people to come for help."
Beyond the clinic, Stephanie is deeply committed to serving her community. She has recently become involved in medical missions, an experience she describes as profoundly rewarding. "Although we help others and make an impact on their lives, they impact ours just as much or more.”
