Meagan Hansen, FNP, is a Family Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience caring for patients with complex and acute medical needs. Meagan earned her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Walden University and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Associate of Science in Nursing from Southwest Baptist University. Before becoming a nurse practitioner, she spent more than five years as a registered nurse in intensive care and cardiovascular settings at Mercy Hospital and CoxHealth. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and American Association of Critical-Care Nurses. Her clinical experience includes medical, neuro/trauma, cardiovascular/surgical and burn care, as well as cardiac procedures, emergency response, and complex patient management.
Meagan became a medical provider after her grandmother’s cancer diagnosis profoundly impacted her family. Seeing firsthand how compassionate healthcare providers supported her grandmother and family inspired Meagan to pursue a career focused on advocacy, support and compassionate care. She enjoys building meaningful relationships with patients, listening to their concerns, and helping them navigate their health with confidence. Her approach is rooted in respect and harm reduction, and she believes every person deserves to be treated with dignity and without stigma or judgment.
Outside of her clinical work, Meagan has volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ozarks, a local food pantry and Springfield Kitchen, reflecting her commitment to serving and supporting her community.
