Ingrid Helgestad

Dr. Ingrid Helgestad is a dedicated dentist who earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Missouri – Kansas City. Before dental school, she completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Throughout her training in the UMKC dental clinic, Dr. Helgestad gained hands-on experience with a wide range of procedures, including crowns, bridges, implant restorations, complete and partial dentures, extractions, pediatric dentistry, composite and amalgam fillings, exams, scaling and root planing, and anterior root canals. Dr. Helgestad is comfortable caring for patients of all ages and needs.

As Outreach Chair for the UMKC Pediatric Club, she helped organize virtual "Lessons in a Lunchbox" for more than 200 local elementary students and coordinated donations for women's and children's shelters. She has also volunteered with Team Smile at Arrowhead Stadium and Score 1 for Health, and spent time as a pediatric dental assistant, where she developed a passion for helping children feel confident and at ease at the dentist.

Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, sewing, and hanging out with her two cats.
