Elizabeth Harper Juanillo

Dr. Elizabeth Harper Juanillo is a board-certified OBGYN who brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to women's health to her practice. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology and her Doctor of Medicine from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, before completing her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Creighton University's Phoenix Campus, training at St. Joseph's Medical Center and Maricopa Medical Center. Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Dr. Harper Juanillo has also completed the SAGES Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery Program and is credentialed in robotic surgery using the da Vinci XI Surgical System. Her clinical expertise spans the full spectrum of women's care, with additional training as a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist.

Throughout her career, Dr. Harper Juanillo has distinguished herself as both a dedicated clinician and an engaged leader. As a physician at Adelante Healthcare, she served as Department Chair with a focus on quality and practice improvement, and during her training she took on roles including Education Chief Resident and member of the Committee on Resident Teaching Conference. She co-developed a Family Planning Rotation within the Ob/Gyn department at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine and has remained active in medical education and research. Her scholarly work includes studies on resident attitudes toward buprenorphine prescribing in Arizona and the possible association between abortion rates and foster care entry, along with published case reports and numerous grand rounds presentations on topics ranging from infection in pregnancy to endometriosis. Her contributions have been recognized with honors such as the Holden Endowed Scholarship, the Robert Wood Johnson Award, and an Outstanding Teaching award for Ob/Gyn.

Beyond her clinical and academic accomplishments, Dr. Harper Juanillo is dedicated to compassionate, patient-centered care and to serving diverse communities. She is proficient in Spanish and certified to complete informed consent in Spanish, allowing her to connect directly with a broad range of patients, and she is skilled in the Epic, Cerner, and NextGen EMR systems. A fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the American Medical Association, she combines surgical expertise, scholarly curiosity, and a genuine commitment to improving the lives of the women she serves.
