About Dan Meadows

Dr. Dan Meadows works at Jordan Valley's Benton clinic where he provides deeply personalized care to each patient. Dr. Meadows received his PsyD from the School of Professional Psychology at Forest Institute. After graduating, he completed a residency at the College Skyline Center in Joplin, MO. Dr. Meadows has been a provider at Jordan Valley since 2022.

Dr. Meadow's path to becoming a provider was gradual and came about as he learned more about himself and his passions. After completing a high school psychology course and with the encouragement of others, Dr. Meadows began to envision a career path where he could work with people. From there, he became a formal provider after completing graduate coursework and licensure. After about ten years of working as a counselor at a master's level, Dr. Meadows enrolled in a doctoral level program because he wanted to help people at a deeper level. Through years as a provider, Dr. Meadows has found that his favorite part of his job is being able to listen to patients' experiences and needs. He feels happy when people learn more about themselves and how their mind works in relation to themselves and other people. Dr. Meadows wants his patients to know that what happens in behavioral healthcare is dependent on the patient's circumstances, readiness, and reason for coming. He believes healthcare works best with a comfortable, patient-centered, collaborative relationship. Patients should expect an informed, evidence-based, and non-judgmental approach in which their benefit is the motive for all that is done. Dr. Meadows makes sure to discuss what the patient wants, knows, needs, and wants to know. He then uses this to inform the direction of the therapy.

Currently, Dr. Meadows participates in Missouri Jobs with Justice, an organization that works to improve the welfare of Missouri workers and citizens. In 2026, he helped with establishing a program in Springfield for mandatory health and safety inspections for rental properties, which he finds directly impacts the health and wellbeing of his patients. When Dr. Meadows is not working or volunteering, he loves spending time outside in nature and finds joy in the many beautiful places around the Ozarks.
