SPRINGFIELD, MO — Kristy Carter, Executive Director of the Jordan Valley Health Foundation, has been named one of Ingram’s 50 Missourians You Should Know, an annual recognition highlighting Missourians whose work and leadership are making a meaningful impact in communities across the state. Carter was recognized for her commitment to addressing two interconnected challenges that affect families across Missouri: access to health care and access to food. Before joining the Jordan Valley Health Foundation, Carter spent a decade with Least of These, a food pantry in Ozark, MO. During her tenure, the organization experienced unprecedented demand, serving more than 1,400 families each month and an annual operating budget approaching $5 million.
“Being named one of Ingram’s 50 Missourians You Should Know is an incredible honor,” said Carter. I’m grateful to be part of organizations and teams that believe everyone deserves the opportunity to be healthy and thrive.”In April 2025, Carter became the first Executive Director of the Jordan Valley Health Foundation, the charitable arm of Jordan Valley Health. In this role, she leads fundraising efforts that help Jordan Valley Health meet needs that go beyond what traditional health care funding can cover.
