Thank you for your interest in our internship program. During an interns’ training year, we strive to provide intensive and enriching generalist integrated health training that develops an intern’s competence in providing psychological services within an integrated community health center. Jordan Valley Community Health Center’s mission is to improve the health of our communities through access and relationships. We are committed to a high standard of excellence in service of low-income, uninsured, and underserved populations and our unique structure and scope of services has allowed us to continue to fulfill this mission. At Jordan Valley, Behavioral Health providers (Psychiatrists, Psychologists, LCSWs and LPCs) are highly valued members amongst the multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals that also typically includes: primary care providers, dental providers, pharmacists, nurses, dietitians, community health workers, and occupational and speech therapists.
Jordan Valley’s Department of Behavioral Health Integration offers a 12-month clinical psychology internship (submitted accreditation self-study to the American Psychological Association. We are not currently an accredited APA site. We are a provisional member of APPIC.) The internship is characterized by a wide variety of clinical activities, supervision by licensed Psychologists, and a wide array of didactic opportunities, and other educational experiences.
As a Federally Qualified Health Center, Jordan Valley serves an increasingly diverse population with a variety of behavioral health needs, thus allowing us to offer a variety of rich clinical training experiences. Within our Community Health Center, there are a wide variety of services including integrated behavioral health, pediatrics, women’s health, family practice, dental, express care, substance use and pain clinics, pharmacy, and vision serving children, adolescents, and adults.

"As an intern at Jordan Valley, I have really had the opportunity to grow as a clinician. I have been exposed to such a wide variety and diversity of patients, which has led to an expansion of my psychological toolbox and comfort level working with patients across the lifespan."
Alexa B. - 2019-2020 Intern
"Overall, this has been one of the best experiences I've ever had. The thought of moving to Missouri was scary but everyone made me feel welcome at all times. My supervisors were also very patient with me throughout this process and I really appreciated that."
Paloma O. - 2018-2019 Intern
